We normally start talking about financial aid in October, when the FAFSA opens and students are applying early to their favorite colleges.
But 2023 was different. This year, we are waiting for a new (and hopefully improved) FAFSA to become available on December 31.

Well, the new FAFSA technically launched, but it's definitely not ready for prime time. Sit back and relax for a couple of weeks. Universities won't receive your FAFSA info until late January anyway.
